On Friday, March 12th, The Palmer Times was made aware of a terrible structural fire at the RNG Headquarters in Milton.
The Ridgeway County Fire Department responded quickly, however, due to poor structural integrity, the fire spread quickly, and the building quickly succumbed to its damages, ultimately destroying the building.
During the building’s collapse, part of the State House’s parking garage was damaged.
The former site of the Milton RNG Headquarters has been turned into a construction zone. The Palmer Times currently does not know what will replace the building, but we do know that a memorial has been placed on the corner of where the building once stood. If you attempt to go into the construction site, it will be considered trespassing.
